Glenn Archer disappointed in North Melbourne fans

Glenn Archer says he was disappointed by North fans on Saturday night.

3AW expert Matthew Lloyd couldn’t help but have a crack at North Melbourne before the clash with Richmond for their low crowds.

And Archer said he can’t disagree with Lloydy’s assessment after just over 36,000 fans attended Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

“I don’t think our guys turned up well enough last night,” Archer said on Sunday.

“We were expecting around 45,000.”

Archer, one of the toughest players the game has seen, said he “cringes” watching some of the things Joel Selwood does that straddle the line between courageous and plain foolish.

“It’s something you’ll never take out of his game,” Archer said.

“He’s probably the most admired footballer I’ve ever watched.”
