Gillon McLachlan anticipates changes to the game, Neil pays his debt to the AFL boss!
AFL boss Gillon McLachlan says he’s anticipating expect changes to the game next season.
The issue of possible rule changes has been a major discussion point this week, with Collingwood coach Nathan Buckley and league great Malcolm Blight both sharing strong public opinions.
Speaking on 3AW Mornings, McLachlan said a board meeting in early August would shed more light on any possible rule changes.
But he expects AFL footy boss Steve Hocking to recommend changes.
“I think there will be some changes, the extent of them? I’m not sure,” McLachlan said on 3AW Mornings.
“Everybody will have their views and everyone is positioning a bit, but what Steve has done is a completely consultative, wide-ranging view – that’s his job.
“I couldn’t be more pleased with the way he’s gone about it.”
Neil Mitchell, meanwhile, coughed up after losing a bet with the AFL chief executive earlier this month!
