BUDDY HAILS GUTSY WIN
Lance Franklin has hailed a “gutsy” win by his undermanned teammates.
Already missing senior players Dan Hannebery and Jarrad McVeigh, the Swans lost Josh Kennedy to a back injury during the game.
Franklin told 3AW the young Swans stepped up.
“It was a gutsy, gutsy win,” he said.

FULL TIME
Sydney has won an absolute thriller by six points.
The Swans stole the lead in the dying moments through Aliir Aliir, the defender kicking his first AFL goal in his 21st game.
The final quarter swung all over the place with both sides trading goals, but it was the Swans who led at the right time.
Richo: “What a great game. I’m not sure we need to tamper with this product.” #AFLNorthSwans

LATE CHANGES
Both sides have made a change to their selected sides.
Ben Jacobs has been replaced by Luke Davies-Uniacke for North, while Swan defender Heath Grundy has been replaced by Harry Marsh.
It’s the second time in three weeks that Jacobs has been withdrawn before a game with concussion symptoms, but North coach Brad Scott denies there’s a major problem.
“I can understand how it sounds,” Scott told 3AW before the game.
“I can assure everyone that he’s very close to playing and we’re certainly not playing games naming him.”

THE BUILD-UP
There are four points, and there are four points.
These four points are not like the others.
For North, they will lift the side into the eight. For the Swans, the Top 4.
And equally, not getting the points will have implications for both clubs and those around them.
Strap yourselves in for what should be a hard-fought epic on 3AW Football!
