‘Funny how karma works’: Matthew Nicks’ cheeky response to Sam Draper antics

Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks has provided a cheeky response when asked about one of the big moments of his side’s win over Essendon.

Sam Draper was involved in controversy when Adelaide and Essendon met earlier in the season, where a last-minute non-holding the ball call saw the Bombers win.

In a twist of irony, it was Draper who missed a set shot from point-blank range in the crucial last term of Essendon’s loss to the same opponent on Friday night.

“It’s funny how karma works isn’t it,” Nicks said on 3AW Football.
