‘Frequency is too low’: The council problem impacting all metro Melbourne municipalities
Residents in Whittlesea are being left no choice but to fill up public rubbish bins as the council drops rubbish collection to twice a month.
Vice President at Council Watch, Dean Hurlston, says the issue is happening in municipalities all across Melbourne.
“Where a reduction in the frequency in collecting normal rubbish … what it says to us is people are becoming more bold and obviously can’t dispose of all their rubbish at home,” he told Jacqui Felgate.
