Fremantle livewire Michael Frederick has been suspended for a week by the Dockers for breaking team rules.

The Dockers revealed on Monday that Frederick had consumed alcohol, which fell short of “team standards” being a six-day break.

Frederick won’t be available for selection against Hawthorn.

It’s a blow for the Dockers, with Frederick booting three goals in the club’s thrilling win over Brisbane on Sunday.

It comes on the same day Melbourne star Steven May was also handed a one-game ban for breaking alcohol protocols.
