Four teens arrested after high-speed police chase through Melbourne’s south-east

Four teenagers are in custody after an allegedly stolen Holden Astra was followed at high speeds from Pakenham to Elwood overnight.

The car was tracked by the Air Wing along several major roads just after midnight, including the Monash Freeway and Nepean Highway.

Stop sticks were deployed in Brighton East and the car eventually came to a stop on Glen Huntly Road, where the teens made a run for it.

A 14-year-old boy, a 16-year-old boy, an 18-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl were then arrested by dog squad officers nearby on Mitford Street.
