Four killed in shocking smash near Shepparton

Four people have been killed in a shocking smash in the state’s north.

And police say it could have even been worse.

A car collided with a ute that was towing a trailer at Pine Lodge, near Shepparton, on Wednesday afternoon.

The car ended up in a nearby paddock.

Four male passengers died at the scene, while the driver was flown to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the other vehicle was not seriously injured.
