Four arrested after man dragged from car at knifepoint in Melbourne’s east
Four people have been arrested after a man was threatened with a knife and dragged from his car in Bayswater North overnight.
The victim was asked by another person to drive to a car park to meet a friend at about 11.20pm.
When the victim and his associate arrived, two other vehicles were already there.
It’s believed the victim was threatened with a knife and dragged from his Mercedes sedan.
The car was then stolen, and the victim raised the alarm.
Police, including the airwing, located the stolen car and one of the other vehicles seen in the car park.
After a search of the area, three males and a female were arrested.
A 16-year-old male from Launching Place, a 28-year-old Healesville East man and a 27-year-old Yarra Junction woman were interviewed and released pending further enquiries.
A 29-year-old Healesville man will appear in court today, and is expected to be charged with aggravated carjacking, false imprisonment, common law assault and handling stolen goods.
