Former US President Jimmy Carter passes away aged 100

Following the news of his death at the age of 100, former US President Jimmy Carter has been remembered as one of the country’s greatest ex-presidents.

Nine News US correspondent Jonathan Kearsley says he’s been remembered also for being strong-willed, and for his humanitarian efforts during and after his presidency.

“I mentioned the Homes for Humanity project, this was something that he and his wife Rosalynn devoted their life to, they went around building homes across America at a furious rate,” he told 3AW Mornings.
