Former Triple Zero chair claims he was pressured to resign after making plea for funding
The former chair of Victoria’s Triple Zero service says he was pressured to resign after asking for a new funding model in 2015.
A report, released on Saturday, found insufficient funding was the “main cause” for ESTA’s issues that saw 33 people die while calls to Triple Zero were impacted by delays.
Roger Leeming told Neil Mitchell he raised concerns in 2015, before receiving a letter from government suggesting he’d be moved on from his position.
