Former Liberal minister Peter Reith hospitalised following ‘serious medical emergency’
Former Howard Government minister Peter Reith has been hospitalised after a suspected stroke.
He had been campaigning for the Victorian Liberal presidency, but it’s understood he will pull out following the ‘serious medical emergency’.
‘Peter Reith has been a dedicated servant of the Liberal Party for more than four decades and is one of its most beloved statesmen,’ Opposition Leader Matthew Guy said in a statement.
‘On behalf of all Victorian Liberals, I wish him a full and speedy recovery.’
