Former Labor MP Tim Holding has voiced his concerns on the state of politics in the country.

Holding was a Labor politician from 1999 until 2013, and said he’s worried at how “polarising” politics has become.

“We are losing the capacity to respect other people’s opinions,” Holding told Neil Mitchell.

Holding joined Neil Mitchell live in studio to discuss the venture he started with his partner Felicity back in 2020 when they decided to buy the Château de Purnon in France, which has 105 rooms and is 235-years-old.

He also discussed his near-death experience back in 2009 when he went missing for two days while on a solo hiking expedition on Mount Feathertop.

“I thought I was going to die,” he said.
