Former Hawthorn player rejects ‘disruptor’ tag in presidential race
Former Hawthorn player Andrew Gowers has rejected suggestions he’s a “disruptor” in the club’s presidential race, telling 3AW he’s unhappy the Hawks are “in the media for the wrong reasons” and the club is in desperate need of unification.
“And my read of the situation is that most Hawthorn members have the same view,” Gowers, who will run against Peter Nankivell, told 3AW’s Wide World Of Sports.
“If I’m wrong, Peter Nankivell will be elected, but if I am right then I reckon I will be elected.”
