More than 600 prominent Australians have signed an open letter calling for the end to anti-Semitism.
Victoria’s first Jewish governor Linda Dessau says she put her name to the campaign, and has been “shocked” by the hatred in Australia since the Hamas attacks.
“What we’ve seen on our news is abhorrent,” Ms Dessau told Neil Mitchell.

“I have nothing against marches and protests … but I have a great deal against hatred and a call to violence,” she said.
There’s been a 482 per cent rise in anti-Semitism since the October 7 deadly Hamas attacks in the Middle East.
A number of high profile people have signed the letter as well including former politicians Daniel Andrews, Anna Bligh, Mike Baird and Mark McGowan.
Leaders in media and sport in Kerry Stokes and Gillon McLachlan have also jumped on board.
