Following the events the Ashes over-night which saw English fans boo Australia — a former Australian captain has shared his stance.

Nine cricket commentator, Mark Taylor says he wouldn’t have withdrawn the appeal which saw English cricketer Jonny Bairstow out at Lords.

“I think the right things been done … I’d like to think I played the game in the right spirit throughout my career but if I was captaining the Australian side at that time, I wouldn’t have withdrawn the appeal, it may not look great to everybody but it’s something that’s always been done,” he told Sam McClure and Matthew Lloyd.
