For Sale: Round the Twist Lighthouse Cottages in Aireys Inlet on the market

For nearly $2 million you could own your piece of television history at Aireys Inlet.
Two cottages attached to the Split Point Lighthouse, which famously featured in the ABC TV series Round the Twist, have gone on the market.
Marty Maher from Great Ocean Properties told Justin and Kate that the cottages, which are set on 2621 square metres of land, are essentially one main building and incorporate six bedrooms, two bathrooms and two kitchens.
‘It’s got a great history, it’s actually two cottages that attach. It looks like one building but are actually two, that’s why it’s so big.’
The cottages were used to house the assistant lighthouse keepers until 1919 when the lighthouse, which is still in working order, became automated.
And the price tag? A mere $1.95 million!
