Footage of terrifying Melton South home invasion released

Four men armed with a rifle, machete and baton have smashed their way into a Melton South home in a terrifying aggravated burglary.

The men forced entry into the home on Fraser Street at about 4am on Monday April 24.

Shot were fired and the men made demands for a safe, drugs and cash, before assaulting a man and two women who lived at the property.

A 31-year-old man was taken to hospital with a significant knife wound on his face, while a 44-year-old woman and a 67-year-old woman suffered minor injuries.

The men stole jewellery and a white Volkswagen Polo.

Police believe the violent incident was targeted.
