Flooding forces closure of ICU beds at The Alfred
The intensive care unit at The Alfred Hospital has flooded, forcing the closure of eight beds.
A water pipe in the plant room burst at the weekend, causing the flooding.

Four of the eight affected cubicles have reopened and the remainng four are expected to reopen today.
Neil Mitchell says “This can’t go on”.
“Staff have warned about this for years,” he said. “They’ve either got to fix it or replace it”.
