Five teenagers charged after home invasion in Melbourne’s inner-east

Five teenagers have been charged after a home invasion in Hawthorn East.

The alleged offenders got into a house on Tower Place, stealing a 2019 Mercedes wagon and other personal items.

They were arrested on the Princes Highway in Pakenham at about 10:45am yesterday morning, with the stolen vehicle later recovered in the Springvale area.

Five boys, two aged 13, two aged 15 and one aged 16 have been charged with home invasion, theft of a motor vehicle, theft and bail offences.

They will face a children’s court at a later date.
