Fitzroy pensioner fuming after pool drops seniors discount

A Fitzroy pensioner has been left fuming after the City of Yarra dropped its seniors discount.

Yesterday, it cost 71-year-old Raymond $5.90 for a swim, spa, sauna, steam and a locker.

Today, when he visited Fitzroy Pool, the same thing cost him $17.

“It’s a 288 per cent increase,” he told Neil Mitchell.

“They’ve dropped any sort of discount seniors get.”

3AW Mornings has contacted Yarra Council for comment and is awaiting a response.
