Recovery efforts in flooded regional communities will be bolstered using a $351 million dollar state government package.
Meanwhile, the north of the state is bracing for a potential second wave of devastation from downpours that will lash the state this week.
Heavy rainfall is expected to sweep the north and north-west from tomorrow and into the weekend, with up to 2000 properties in Echuca expected to come under pressure from today.
At Kerang, the flood level will peak Wednesday into Thursday and the area may be cut off for up to two weeks.
