The first passenger cruise ship in almost three years has arrived in Melbourne.

Carnival Australia’s Coral Princess vessel berthed at Station Pier just after 7.30am on Thursday morning with a ‘We love Melbourne’ banner draped across it.

There were more than 2500 passengers on board.

Passenger Teresa Cameron told Neil Mitchell she was thrilled to be onboard a cruise again.

“We love to cruise. We love all the entertainment, the dancing, the enrichment talks and the peace whenever we shut the cabin door,” she said.
