Fire crews remain vigilant after battling several fires across the state on Tuesday.
Emergency warnings were issued for Addington and Mount Bolton, due to an out-of-control fire north-west of Ballarat which briefly threatened property.
Meanwhile, residents at Somerville on the Mornington Peninsula were also on high alert due to a grass fire.
Both blazes have since been brought under control.
A total of 15 grass and scrub fires were reported on Tuesday, with a Total Fire Ban issued for the Mallee, Northern Country, North Central and North East districts on Wednesday.
