Firefighters protest outside office of premier Daniel Andrews
The fire fighters’ union has confirmed five taxpayer-funded fire trucks, along with crews who were all on-duty protested outside the electorate office of Premier Daniel Andrews on Monday.
The protest in Mulgrave is part of the union’s long-running pay dispute.
The union’s secretary Peter Marshall says the protest was legal under industrial laws.
‘There were probably about five trucks,’ he said.
‘Of course they would have responded to any call of any emergency at any time.’
