Federal Transport Minister has update on Bonza crisis

Federal Transport Minister Catherine King has provided an update on the unfolding Bonza situation.

The focus today is to get stranded passengers home and on flights with the help from Qantas, Virgin and Jetstar.

“I’m very grateful for Virgin, Qantas and Jetstar for stepping up to the plate and assisting,” Minister King told Jacqui Felgate on 3AW Drive.

“At this stage we don’t know (about the future of Bonza employees), it will be a matter of them talking to their employer about what their future plans are.

“This is unfortunately not the first time we have seen this in aviation.”

Bonza is set to make an announcement on it’s pathway forward and will release a media statement.
