The Federal Police have teamed up with Monash University to create a world-first artificial intelligence program.

Acting Assistant Commissioner Crime Command, Helen Schneider, says the “My Pictures Matter” initiative will help police detect child sexual abuse material.

“We’re trying to build up a database … What we’re urging people to do out in the community … for adults, with informed consent to supply pictures from their youth to help build this AI software,” she told Neil Mitchell.
