Professor of Cyber Security at Monash University Nigel Phair joined 3AW Mornings to discuss the digital ID card that will be launched by the Federal Government this year.

The Federal Government says it will be launched this year, however this will come with its fears of safety and the ability of hackers to interfere with the identities of Australians.

“I’d like to think that it will have very good encryption and held to the highest of international standards,” Phair said on 3AW Mornings.
