Father says he’s been forced to sack his son over opposition to COVID-19 vaccination

The devastated owner of a construction business says he has been forced to sack his son, who is refusing to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

Peter rang 3AW Breakfast on Tuesday and fought back tears while explaining his situation.

He said it was going to be the hardest day of his life.

“I’ve never cried so much in my life,” he said.

The Andrews Government has made it compulsory for all construction workers to be vaccinated.

“I have tried to persuade him, but I’m not going to push him into doing something he doesn’t want to do,” Peter said.
