Fan banned after lighting a flare at Adelaide Oval
A 33-year-old man has been banned from the Adelaide Oval after lighting a flare on Friday night.
The flare was lit during the final quarter of Adelaide’s win over Geelong.
The man was charged by police with carrying a flare and discharging a flare.
He was initially banned from Adelaide Oval for six months, but that was later increased to a life ban from the ground.
The Crows commended nearby fans for not allowing the offender to flee before police arrived.
“Such anti-social behaviour has no place in sport and individuals who do not understand this are not welcome,” the club said.
