Family of murdered Kenneth Handford launch a petition to appeal the killer’s sentence
The family of Kenneth Handford, who was killed on his 90th birthday, have launched a petition appealing his killer’s sentence.
The man who killed 90-year-old WW2 veteran was sentenced to 13 years jail for his brutal murder.
Due to his co-operation with police, his sentence could be reduced to 11 years.
Speaking to Neil Mitchell, Ken’s grand-daughter Leah Handford says the family was initially shocked, but now they are angry.
“There are no words for the feelings that come with that kind of trauma,” Ms. Handford told Neil.
“Pop was not only brutally murdered in his own home, he has also been let down by the system.”
