Extinction Rebellion protest causes peak hour traffic chaos

An Extinction Rebellion protest is causing chaos on Punt Road and across the city on Thursday morning.

The climate action group blocked traffic, marching with flags and banners during the morning peak.

Caller Jack told Ross and Russ he could also see protest action on the Monash Freeway as he was driving into the city.

“There’s four guys with cowboy hats on and there’s a banner facing St Kilda,” he said on 3AW Breakfast.
