Explosive device thrown at home in Melbourne’s outer-north
An investigation is underway into a firebombing in Melbourne’s north last night.
Victoria Police media officer Creina O’Grady told 3AW Breakfast the home in Epping was targeted just before 11pm.
“A person has thrown an explosive device at the front of the house,” she said.
“The device exploded on impact.”
The fire caused damage to the garage and part of the house on Buckland Crescent, MFB crews attended and extinguished the fire quickly.
3AW Police reporter Pat Mitchell is on the scene and says its the same property that was raised by police last year.
No-one is believed to have been injured.

“Noticeably there’s a sold sign out the front of the house,” he said.
