Exclusive video: Nicole Kidman in Melbourne for NGV gala

Oscar winner Nicole Kidman was a surprise guest at the inaugural NGV gala at the weekend, looking resplendent in a stunning Dior Couture gown as she strolled the red carpet.

She joined nearly 1,400 people who attended the lavish fundraising event which celebrated the opening of the House of Dior: Seventy years of Haute Couture at the Gallery.

Amongst the celebrity guests nibbling on an assortment of canapes (caviar included) and sipping French champagne were Tina Arena, Kate Ceberano, Kat Stewart, Ryan Corr, Olympia Valance, Rachel Griffiths, and Adam Goodes.

Before enjoying a tour of the exhibition which includes her famous chartreuse sheath dress worn to the 1997 Oscars, a decidedly chatty Kidman caught up with 3AW’s Donna Demaio.
