Exclusive | Australian Open Tournament director makes Australia Day announcement

Australian Open event organisers have revealed to 3AW Mornings they’ll be committing to Australia Day celebrations with details of events to be announced.

Australian Open tournament director Craig Tiley says it’s important for the event to be inclusive.

“One thing we’ll be doing which hasn’t been announced yet, the Australian Of The Year is invited to Australia Day,” he said.

Mr Tiley also addressed security concerns after recent international terrorist acts saying they’re working closely with Victoria Police.
