Essendon ‘unlikely’ to recruit any more top-up players, says Sam McClure
Essendon is unlikely to recruit a full compliment of top-up players, says Sam ‘Scoop’ McClure.
The Sports Today newsbreaker said the club had landed every player it had hoped to and saw little need to pay another player ‘for the sake of it.’
The Bombers have been granted permission to sign 10 players to fill the void of the dozen players serving doping bans.
They have currently signed eight.
‘Essendon don’t believe they need to pay two more players for the sake of it that they aren’t particularly interested in,’ Scoop explained on 3AW.
‘They’ve ticked all the boxes and got all the players they wanted to.’
