Enamel jeweller Debbie Sheezel shares her craft with Denis Walter
Enamelist and artist Debbie Sheezel says it’s her drive for learning and her craft that keeps her passionate after all these years.
Last year she was awarded the Saul Bell award for jewellery designers for a handmade butterfly necklace, and this year she will present the prestigious international accolade in the US.
‘I’ve been enamelling for 50 years, but I started creating jewellery when I finished my jewellery course at RMIT and ended up teaching there,’ she told Denis Walter.
‘It is fun – it gets you in. It’s very fulfilling.’
