Fourth person dies in Phillip Island drowning tragedy

A fourth person has died in a drowning incident at Phillip Island on Wednesday afternoon.

Victoria Police said four individuals were pulled out of the water after 3:30pm, with three people initially pronounced dead at the scene.

But police later confirmed on Thursday morning that a fourth individual had sadly passed away after earlier being rushed to hospital with critical injuries.

“There’s a lot of police action heading down there,” caller Fraser told 3AW Drive yesterday.
