Eddie McGuire reveals the name to ‘keep your eye on’ in race to replace AFL chairman

Eddie McGuire says there’s some lobbying being done behind the scenes in the race to replace current AFL commission chairman Richard Goyder.

Goyder has announced he won’t seek re-election, with a succession plan currently being discussed.

McGuire told the Eddie and Jimmy podcast current Port Adelaide chairman David Koch remains in the frame to take over Goyder’s role.

“I would suggest David Koch has his eye on being chairman of the AFL,” Eddie McGuire said.

“Keep your eye on that one – there’s a bit of lobbying going on behind the scenes.”
