Eddie McGuire calls for domestic travel re-think

Eddie McGuire has called for rail and road travel to be promoted in Victoria.

It comes on the back of continual chaos at airports since the COVID pandemic hit.

McGuire has taken a handful of domestic flights of late and said he’d had the “mixed bag” of experiences.

“They (staff) are doing their best, but they’re under pressure,” he said.

It prompted McGuire to question whether there was a better way to travel.

“There is an old saying when it comes to travel that it’s better to be bored, than anxious,” McGuire told 3AW Mornings’ Ideas Factory.

Neil Mitchell and Eddie McGuire agreed there were several positive aspects to road and rail travel.
