Eddie Betts opens up about ‘weird’ pre-season camp in new book
AFL great Eddie Betts has opened up about the trauma he says he suffered from a leadership training camp in the 2018 pre-season with Adelaide.
He says it ultimately played a part in his departure from the Crows.
Betts made the revelations in his autobiography, The Boy from Boomerang Crescent, which will be released on Wednesday.
In 2021, a SafeWork SA inquiry found no evidence of any breach of work health and safety laws relating to the camp.
Sam McClure has covered the issue closely over the past few years and reacted to Betts’ first-hand account on 3AW.
