An eagle-eyed teenager tracked down a stolen car in just seven minutes!

At 11.41 am on Wednesday, Peter called Neil Mitchell to report his black Mercedes van had been stolen from Glenroy.

Seven minutes later, year 10 student Xavier rang to tell Neil Mitchell he’d seen the car in the CBD.

Within the hour, police had swooped and taken four people into custody.

“We were just listening to you and Xavier said to me ‘That’s it Mum’. I said ‘What’s it?’ and he said ‘That’s the vehicle!’. In no time he’d taken a screenshot of the vehicle, he had the maps up as to where exactly we were and he was ringing you!,” Xavier’s mum, Donna, told Neil Mitchell.
