Dramatic scenes at school in Melbourne’s south-east

Police have been called to a school at Beaconsfield in Melbourne’s south east.

The school activated its emergency management plan after a 15-year-old boy brought a toy gun onto the grounds.

He was arrested for possession of an imitation firearm and is currently assisting police.

Police say there is no threat to the community.
