Donald Trump and JD Vance called out for ‘bullying’ Volodymyr Zelensky in fiery exchange

Jacqui Felgate has called out President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance for their “boorish” and “disrespectful” behaviour towards Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on the weekend.

The 3AW Drive host described the fiery Oval Office meeting as an “extraordinary exchange” and couldn’t believe what she was watching.

“I’ve never seen anything like it on a global and political stage,” Felgate said.

“What we’re watching is we’re watching the leader of the free world bullying Zelensky, dismissing him,” she said.

Former high commissioner to the UK, and a former Liberal senator and federal attorney-general, George Brandis, issued a similar sentiment, labelling it a “gravely alarming event”.

“It was a shocking event, it looked as if it was a set-up,” Mr Brandis said on 3AW Drive.

“I suspect that American opinion will turn against Trump,” he said.
