Don Pyke new coach of Adelaide Crows
New Adelaide coach Don Pyke says he’ll draw on every piece of coaching experience to help with his new role.
Pyke, 46, was unveiled as the Crows new coach on Friday.
He told 3AW his experience – which dates back all the way to coaching WAFL club Claremont in the 1990s – would be vital.
‘I think the beauty of coaching ? it’s like any profession – you’re always learning,’ Pyke said on Sports Today.
‘And the opportunity to have your own team and run your own program ? I reflect on that now and think what was I thinking?
‘As I said, you’re always learning and certainly the last couple of years my involvement at West Coast with Adam has only further enhanced learning in terms of how the game is played and the methods of dealing with players and teaching and educating in the current landscape.’
