Doctors are the most trusted profession in Australia

There aren’t too many professions you could say you would trust with your life.

A survey has found a doctor is the most trusted profession in Australia, but many believe they should have more tests and audits of their work. 

Dr Tony Bartone, Vice President of the Australian Medical Association, says trust with a patient is something he doesn’t take for granted.

‘It’s a very important position they’re placing me in and I am very fortunate to try and assist them, Dr. Bartone told Ross and John. 

Mandatory training is undertaken by medical professionals, and Dr. Bartone believes medicine is all about ‘ongoing improvement’.
