‘Diversion’: Caroline Wilson calls out Damien Hardwick for his dig at Jacinta Allan

Caroline Wilson has called out Gold Coast Suns head coach Damien Hardwick for his dig at Victorian Premier Jacinta Allan after their loss to Richmond on Saturday night.

The Premier has been critical of Richmond’s handling of the Noah Balta situation, who awaits sentencing for an assault charge, and Hardwick said “she should just concentrate on getting the state running well”.

“Why would the Gold Coast coach throw his bib in to the Noah Balta situation and have a crack at the Victorian Premier?” Wilson questioned on 3AW Football.

“I thought that was a bit of a diversion.

“I’d be asking why a premiership favourite team wasn’t able to beat the team that everyone thought was going to win, or might still win the wooden spoon.”
