Defiant protestors have returned to the front of the Department of Home Affairs office in Docklands, hours after a 12 week encampment was moved on.

A handful of protestors returned overnight, bringing sleeping bags, and the crowd quickly grew in size and volume through the morning, while the City of Melbourne say they’re continuing to monitor the station.

Caller Sonya told 3AW Afternoons police attended the demonstration again on Thursday, but then left shortly after.

“The place is the most disgusting filthy bit of footpath,” she told Tony Moclair.

“We are so sick of it.”
