Sad development in search for man missing in Warrandyte

A body has been found in the Yarra River as part of the search for a missing man last seen at Warrandyte.

The unidentified body is believed to be the 39-year-old man who went missing on Saturday.

The man was with friends at Taroona Reserve when he walked along a path towards the river by himself.

His friends noticed he was missing and tried to locate him before contacting police to report him missing, sparking a widespread search including the Air Wing and Search and Rescue divers
