Man given wrong medication at Broadmeadows pharmacy

Update: Police have located a man wrongly given potentially dangerous medication at a Broadmeadows pharmacy.

Medical authorities prompted a desperate search for the man for fear he faced serious health consequences after possibly being given the wrong medicine.

The customer to the pharmacy in Pascoe Vale Road picked up medication, which didn’t require a prescription, for an approaching medical procedure.

Police say using the medication he was given could have posed a serious health risk.

The man was identified and located safe and well later this morning after public assistance.
